The Supreme Miss American Idol, Season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood, has already been recognized with 5 Grammy wins in the past including Best New Artist and Best Country Female Vocalist three years in a row.
The nominations have just been announced and there's a possibility that Carrie could be adding a 6th Grammy to her collection. She was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for her wonderful Mama's Song.
The only other Miss American Idol to be singled out in this year's list of nominations is the Season 1 winner, Kelly Clarkson, who is continuing to enjoy success from her duet with Jason Aldean, Don't You Wanna Stay. They are up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
If Kelly wins she could be adding a 3rd Grammy to her collection after previously winning Best Pop Vocal Female and Best Pop Album in 2005 for Breakaway.
We'll find out when the Grammy Awards are handed out on February 12th.

If Carrie won 3 Grammy's for female vocalist and one for Best New Artist wouldn't that be 4 awards. Also Mandisa is nominatied for a Grammy this year.
Carrie's 5th win is for her collaboration with Randy Travis on I Told You So.
